Why Norris Lake, Tennessee?

To me, visiting Norris Lake, Tennessee feels like a homecoming. My family has a long history in the region, dating back even before my great grandfather who served as the constable in Speedwell. Tragically, he was shot and killed in front of his home in the hills while attempting to shut down his cousin's illegal moonshine operation. These deep roots in the area make every trip to Norris Lake an especially meaningful and nostalgicically comforting experience for me.
